Finally I decided to paint. There were monsoons around. Before that the “thoughts-pressure” of what should I paint could inhibit, I stepped out of it. Instead I roamed around; did things that did not put any credit on my part. Things like reading- writing-seeing in relation to art in any way or the other. In short I kept myself cut off from the ‘artisticness’ from within.

The receptive quality – challenged by shrinivas’s work, demands reframing of ‘our’, viewers frame as, ‘childlike’, (too casual) – very spontaneous, meaningless, require better compositional skill etc.

These usual verbal responses don’t feel appropriate to see his work. As we sense a subtle aspect of content, sensitivity towards the visually underlying what we see on pictorial surface.
