How to make market

Dear all Myself a freelance children book illustrator and author have been designed more than 1200 books. Now I have started making paintings part time. I have good market idea for illustrations but no deep idea about painting market. pls advice how to sell paintings online.

I M ALSO IN SEARCH OF THIS ANSWER, THAT HOW CAN WE GET A MARKET, AND A GOOD PRICE OF OUR ART-PIECES ? I THINK IN METRO CITIES AND CITIES LIKE PUNE, GURGAON [WHERE PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED IN ARTS ] ETC, ARTISTS GET MARKET. BUT IN MOST OF THE SMALL TOWNS LIKE MY i.e. RAIPUR, WE CANT GET A BRILLINT MARKET AND ART-LOVERS. WHAT DO U THINK ?
