How to sell our paintings ?

Dear friends, We r artists, we know the hardwork we do for each art-piece. But is it easy , to get the true price of our paintings ? I want a discussion and ur views about ,ARE U GETTING BUYERS for ur art-pieces easily ? AND R THE BUYERS READY TO GIVE U THE PRICE 8/10/12/15/thousands onwards to u? Tell me how to get good market for paintings ?

if you are a good artist - your paintings will sell - you only need to get the required platform...if you are finding it difficult to promote your work, please forward me the paintings in .jpg of .gif format - none should not be more than 150 kb - mention the type (acrylic on canvas, lithography etc), year, size in inches and the name of the painting - also forward me your resume to my id - debapriyo.goswami@tata-aig.com.

If your paintings are really good, I will definately do something for you.

Thanks Debapriyo, Just see my paintimgs on my page, and send me ur comments. U have written that u will do something for me, but u r in calcutta, and I m in Raipur, how is it possible ? And then u know U r in such a place where u get people aware about [this] art, but in Chhattisgarh, people r not much interested in spending money for arts.
Anyway, lets see if anything can be done ! I have visited ur page, and saw ur paintings. My taste is totally different.Ur paintings r very nice in its catagary.

how to sell our paintings ? in this regard i can say that we should see our work
the medium,figuretive,nonfiguretive,abstract and size.todays trend and requirmrnt.
through mediators for hotels ,intrior decrators and holding shows in galleries.
first time i sold six works from my show last month only . i think they are small sizes
and price range was 4 to 10 thousand.our work should powerfull and good framing and presentation.

selling a painting is a tough job...........like i belong to a low middle class family n i cant buy material of high quality every time, i make my own canvases n paint.....till now i have made numerous paintings n getting aapreciation 4 my work. but appreciation alone doesnt help i really need to earn through thse paintings so that i can make more paintings.......

but selling is not easy specially in jaipur people dont invest in paintings. even i want to know how do i sell my paintings because now i had made lots of den, done lots of exhibitions,camps......
